Well it's that
time of year again and if you're like me, you're starting to crave the great
taste of outdoor grilled food.
That's what happens when summer rolls around.
If you don't already have a grill, you might want to consider a gas grill
for ease of use but what kind, propane (lp) or natural gas?
Ok, let's get
to the bottom of this and find out what the differences are...
First of all, propane, sometimes referred to as liquid petroleum or lp, comes
in one of those portable tanks that usually sits under or next to the grill.
A natural gas grill, on the other hand, connects directly to your home's gas
fuel supply and is usually set up by your local utility company.
Because a natural gas grill is connected to your gas supply, it's more than
likely that you'll never run out of fuel while cooking.
However, being directly connected like this, also means you won't be able
to move your grill to some other part of your backyard or patio.
Propane grills are maneuverable as long as you don't mind lugging around a
20lb. propane tank.
Propane tanks can be purchased almost anywhere and you can fill them at a
local gas station or propane distributor.
It's always advised to keep a couple of full tanks as you don't want to run
out when cooking your yearly neighborhood bbq!
Taste... well we're taling about gas hear and the taste is all dependent on
the cook...
I have yet been able to notice the difference in taste or performance but
Hank Hill swears propane is better.
If it was up to me, I'd buy a charcoal grill... now, charcol makes a difference
in taste!
